EVENTS

OUR NeSPE STATE SOCIETY HOSTS THREE SIGNATURE EVENTS A YEAR.

September Continuing Education Seminar

Every September NeSPE partners with the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation for an educational and fun day – NeSPE hosts a continuing education seminar in the morning, followed by the annual NeSPE Education Foundation Golf Outing in the afternoon. Both events are traditionally held at Woodland Hills Golf Course outside of Eagle, Nebraska.

January Legislative Luncheon

One way NeSPE works to protect the PE license is through legislative advocacy. Join NeSPE to interact with current legislators and key industry stakeholders. In addition, members will be provided with a current legislative update on key issues prior to the luncheon.

The 2018 luncheon will be held on Thursday, January 18th at the Nebraska Club in downtown Lincoln – a legislative briefing will take place prior to the luncheon for all ticketed guests, and the luncheon will feature keynote speaker, Senator Mike Hilgers with the Transportation and Telecommunications committee. RSVP deadline is January 10th.

May Annual Meeting

NeSPE chapters take turn in hosting the annual meeting, and we hope that you will join us for this two-day event featuring networking and continuing education sessions. The 2018 NeSPE State Annual Meeting will be held in Lincoln at the Hilton Garden hotel in the downtown Lincoln Railyard district.  Save the dates – Thursday, June 7th and Friday, June 8th! The featured theme will be “rooted in the past, engineering the future”…check back for more details!

Other Events

Engineers Week

NeSPE celebrates Engineers Week, known as Discover E each February by personally delivering “pocket protector” designed cookies to our state legislators to promote the engineer profession. NeSPE also participates in the Engineer Roundtable event during E-Week annually.

PE Conference

The conference is an opportunity for PEs and those on the path to licensure to connect with like-minded professionals, earn continuing education credits, and learn about the profession’s top issues.
